About Us

This event started in 2014 with a request from a mother, Alina Pope, in St Albert. Her son asked for a ride in a Camaro for his birthday. When the request went out she did not know the response she would get. Several members from the club said they would love to help them out. A suggestion was made to put on a make shift car show at the Pope household. 

Nathanial made a request of us, could we put on a show and shine for the Make a Wish foundation. We took on the challenge and in mid October 2014 the Wheels for Wishes show was born. In the first year we raised just under $2800 in three hours with only a weeks notice. In 2015 we decided to try to raise a child's wish, $10,000. We did just that raising just over the $10,000 mark. ​In 2016 we went bigger and better, and the goal was again to raise a child's wish, and we raised over the $10,000 for the second straight year. 2017  we went 3 years in a row for granting a wish with $13,572 raised. In 2018  we had another great turn out and granted our 4th wish with $13,356.42 raised. In 2019 we have gone 5 years in a row now with just under $11,000 raised, giving us over $60,000 and 5 wishes granted in 6 years. We could not do this with out the support we receive from everyone, it is amazing and your donations go to a amazing cause.

In 2020 we are going to be doing some restructuring to make the show bigger and better to raise more for Make a Wish and grant more childrens wishes.
